NEW Google Maps integration within Pointstreak Registration automates the process, saving time and improving the experience for everyone

If you’re involved in managing the registration process for a little league or other grassroots baseball or softball league, then you’re probably aware of the headaches involved with figuring out if a new registrant is within your baseball league’s boundaries or not.

The typical way for a Registrar to figure out if a player is in your catchment area is to literally draw your little league boundaries on a paper map and then, as kids register, manually plot their residential address. If they fall in your league’s boundaries, then you can go ahead and cash their check. If they don’t, you have to pick up the phone and tell them that they got the wrong league. What a waste of time for you and what a bad experience for the families who now have to scramble to find their right league!

Now imagine a smooth online process whereby you precisely draw your boundaries using Google Maps. Then as a parent registers their kid, they are immediately notified if their address is not within bounds of your league and must seek another option. If they are within your catchment area, then they are allowed to proceed with registration and that means their payment goes directly into your bank account. No waiting for process that check, no phone calls, no angry parents.

Part of Pointstreak’s Winter 2014 Recap, our baseball registration software product (under our broader suite of baseball software products) boasts a brand new way to completely automate the above process. Using integration with Google Maps, you can now use Pointstreak Registration to define your organization’s geographical boundaries that can then accept or reject registrations based on the registrant’s ZIP or Postal Code. Less headaches, less time wasted and a better experience for everyone.
